COMCAST: A Billing Strategy That Works

Comcast and AT & T broadband have just recently merged and things have been going less than smoothly here in the Chicago area. It took the technicians FOUR attempts to make an appointment for installation of both my cable and my broadband internet access.

Now, I have had both services running for two months and the billing has become a disaster. The bill alone is no joy to read. You can cross your eyes here. What a wild and crazy way to itemize.

To date my Comcast ordeal has included speaking with:

1 sales rep
3 tech guys (the guy that installed my broadband didn't even no how to work a browser!!!)
11 "help" desk representatives
( I hate talking to these guys because they aren't given the power or paid enough to actually care about solving customer issues. Their job is to see how much valuable time you will waste before becoming angry enough to be "escalated" to the next call level. Their motto: Maybe you will go away if I anger you enough.)
2 supervisors

My initial bill for TWO months was $92.37. After all was said and through about seven and a half times, Comcast finally fixed the bill back to $40.60. That had been a $51.77 mistake!

Here is a guy that actually got SCREWED by Comcast!

Analog cable only - I WILL NOT DEAL WITH COMCAST FOR ANYTHING ELSE!!! I have DSL for data.

1. Constant price increases - at least every six months, 10% or more each time
2. Poor service - why should I be paying more and more for worse and worse signal quality?
3. Now they started their cute little pay in advance slush fund strategy - I am expected to pay those aholes in advance for their poor service!
4. Cable operators have a monopoly on wired video distribution - they can do whatever they want to you

I would really like to get a group together to attack Comcast; a $50 billion dollar lawsuit sounds about right.

This company has such gall to treat their customers like garbage and they laugh all the way to the bank!

Thanks for letting me vent.

Hi Anyone interested or know any monopoly lawsuits against comcast. i am interested in joining it. They keep increasing the prices and keep reducing the available channels. I am tired of them

Hey, having the same problems in Ypsilanti, Mi. I am on my second time contacting the Michigan Attorney General for some bullshit charge and they still owe us for a 4 day disconnect they pulled on us for no reason. Yeh, the price increases and loss of channles on top of that is bullshit. I am looking for a class action suit against Comcast as well. At this point I think we should be networking and using the web (including comcasts web services) to take this company down.

I too live in Ypsilanti Michigan and am very very unhappy with the way I was treated. Not to mention the poor "customer satisfaction" I received. I would be glad to join in if there is a group. I spoke with several people and was told something different each time... HELP!!!!!! Anyone with ideas? I would live to see them in court!!!!

Today is the 22 of November 2005.
Let's sue this company. The worst in the universe.
Let me know when and I will be ready.
